All relationships have difficulties. When a couple (any cohabiting and or committed relationship) is seeking therapy, often times it is related to improving communication, decreasing anger and hurt, resolving conflict, regaining feelings of love and intimacy, working through and healing after infidelity and helping improve communication through parenting. Couples therapy can certainly help improve the love and connection between partners.
The initial session is typically 90 minutes. During this time, we will
- Talk about your main concerns and goals in therapy (as individuals and as a couple)
- Determine your level of comfort in working with me
- Discuss the process of therapy
- Review HIPAA Forms and confidentiality, policies and procedures, consent for treatment, Good Faith Estimate (GFE)
