Family Therapy

The goals of Family Therapy are to find improved ways to communicate, connect with family members and work through conflicts.  When one individual is having difficulty, the family system typically is affected.  Family Therapy can help with some issues including:

  • Substance Abuse/Addictions
  • Grief, Loss, and Trauma
  • Abuse
  • Marital Problems and Divorce
  • Financial Worries
  • Parenting Skills

Initial Session

The initial session is typically 90 minutes. During this time, we will:

  • Talk about your main concerns and goals in therapy (as individuals and as a family)
  • Determine your level of comfort in working with me
  • Discuss the process of therapy
  • Review HIPAA Forms and confidentiality, policies and procedures, consent for treatment, Good Faith Estimate (GFE)
